Dive into the magical metamorphosis of the Panamanian golden frog (PGF)! We are home to the largest population of PGFs outside of Panama and continue to lead in the successful breeding and management of this critically endangered species. It's a week-long journey from tiny eggs to lively tadpoles, and another two months for morphlets to appear. A few weeks later, tiny dark-colored frogs emerge before developing their distinct, and unique, adult patterns. Their transformation is not just remarkable, but vital for their species' continued survival! #laranadorada #pgf #conservation #endangered #endangeredspecies #panamaniangoldenfrog #zoo #marylandzoo
