For today, another hot and humid day. High temperatures in the mid-90s with heat index values as high as 102 degrees. Much like Saturday, relief may come with an isolated afternoon shower or storm. A Heat Advisory in effect for counties along the Mississippi and Alabama state line through 7 PM CDT. All locations will be hot and humid. Tonight, areas of fog and muggy. Low to mid 70s. Monday through Friday, hot and humid each day. A slight chance of a daily afternoon thunderstorm, otherwise dry. The feels-like temps between 101 to 105 degrees are expected, with a few locations Wednesday through Friday closer to 107 degrees. Heat alerts likely will be issued for the area. Hydrate, wear light colored clothes, take breaks, pet safety, check on the elderly. Common sense approach to high heat and humidity and for each individual it is different. Weather pattern change comes on Saturday with the chance for rain increasing with a frontal boundary that will eventually drop high temps into the 80s for the weekend and early the following week.
